Christopher Taylor is an attorney and founder of CR Taylor Law, P.S. His practice focuses on:
- Criminal law, ranging from violent strike offenses to DUIs, serious drug crimes to shoplifting;
- Criminal appeals and other post-conviction relief;
- Collateral criminal issues, such as vacating records of conviction (similar to expungements), deleting non-conviction data, and restoring firearm rights; and
- Public Records Act (RCW 42.56) consultation and litigation.
Mr. Taylor has been in private practice in Olympia since 2007 after moving south from Seattle. Prior to founding CR Taylor Law, P.S., Mr. Taylor founded FT Law, P.S. in 2011 with William Ferrell, where he was a managing co-owner until 2016. Mr. Taylor has a current contract with Thurston County Public Defense as a conflict panel attorney, representing individuals accused of Class A, Class B, and Class C felonies, as well as representing appellants convicted in courts of limited jurisdiction.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Taylor spends his time introducing his son and daughter to Washington’s beautiful outdoors, cooking for his wife and children, and co-running his children’s school’s PTA’s movie night. Mr. Taylor was also a former board member of Stonewall Youth and is a strong supporter of LGBTQ+ rights.
Professionally, Mr. Taylor is an active member of the Washington Defender Association, the Washington Coalition for Open Government, and the Thurston County Bar Association. Mr. Taylor has practiced in a number of Washington State and Federal courts at both the trial court and appellate levels.
